I love steam trains. I love nostalgia. I love looking at the past with rose-tinted spectacles, and I make no apology for it. Besides, when you stick your head out of a carriage window and smell the coal fire, feel the ash floating on your face and hear that throaty "chuff chuff", you can't help but feel that some things should not be confined to history.
It also gives an excuse to post lots of steam train pics. All these are from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
